‘Artifishal,’ Patagonia’s latest film, is about the high cost—environmental, financial and cultural—of hatcheries and fish farms, and our mistaken reliance on human-engineered solutions. It explores our loss of faith in nature and the impact on communities and ecosystems as wild salmon slide toward extinction.

Located less than 60 miles from the Valley and beyond Galena Summit, the Salmon River is a designated Wild and Scenic River and one of the most iconic salmon rivers in North America. Sadly, wild steelhead and chinook runs have dwindled over the years, with 2019 fairing no better. By bringing this film to the Valley, the Wood River Land Trust, Steely Zips, and RippleFlix intend to raise awareness about an issue that affects us all.

Please join us on June 27th at the Sun Valley Opera House, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Tickets are $13 and include a free beer from Sockeye Brewery as well as a free koozie. Tickets can be purchased here.
