RIVERFEST REIMAGINED – CONTINUING THE TRADITION

Due to the unprecedented times that our community is facing, we are re-imagining Riverfest for 2020.  We absolutely love welcoming our community at Lion’s park after the Hailey’s Days of the Old West 4th of July parade, and we love the shared community experience that party creates around our beloved Big Wood River.  This year, we want to create a similar community experience around the river in a way that continues to keep everyone safe.

TELL US YOUR STORY!

We love the Big Wood River, and understand it as the heart of the Valley that connects us all – we want to hear about what the Big Wood River means to you!  This year, we would like to encourage you to enjoy a mid day picnic at the river, to find one of the ‘Story Stations’ located at our preserves, and join your friends and neighbors in writing a little note to or sketching a little picture of the river!

TAKE A PICNIC

On your way to your favorite riverside preserve to visit a Story Station, consider picking up a picnic from your favorite local businesses.  We know that one of the best parts of Riverfest is being able to grab a bite to eat and enjoy it while basking in the gorgeous scenery that our Valley provides.  We encourage you to pick up lunch from a local restaurant and recreate that experience for your family while supporting our friends and neighbors as they’re re-opening their businesses.

CAN’T MAKE IT TO THE VALLEY?

We still want to hear from you!  Use the form below to tell us your river stories.  Whether that’s your favorite memory, a love letter to the river, or a short story about how the river has flowed through your own life.  Spend a minute diving deep into your own love for and experiences around the Big Wood River, and know that it will be here waiting for you when it’s safe for you to come home.
