In memory of
Retired Management Consultant
On the very last day of 2018, we lost our dear friend and colleague, Richard Carr.
Richard was the chairman of our board, but he was so much more than that. He was a straight talker, an optimistic realist, a seeker of solutions, and a lover of life. Everyone on our board and staff will miss Richard’s presence both in the day-to-day workings of the Land Trust and on the water. As much as we miss him, we know he is here with us when we lean in to the hard questions; when we listen to hear the real story; when we remember the big picture; and when we care for one another.
A link to Richard’s obituary can be found here.
“It is gratifying to see the results of our work; walking protected land, fishing in restored waters and taking in the scenic beauty is both rewarding and inspiring. Together with our donors, we can continue to maintain and enhance both the environmental and scenic qualities of this place.” — Richard Carr
