The Independence Creek Preserve provides public access to Bureau of Land Management land via a ridgeline trail, while also buffering public lands from the adjacent Independence Creek subdivision.  With upland slopes and a free flowing creek, mixed habitat is provided for a variety of plant and wildlife species.
