Back by popular demand, the Wood River Land Trust’s 3rd Annual RiverFest will once again take place in Hailey on the Fourth of July. Filling the gap between the Hailey Days of the Old West Parade and the evening rodeo and fireworks, the free afternoon event is a big hit with folks of all ages.
RiverFest begins after the parade ends around 1pm and runs until 5 pm. It’s held at the Draper Wood River Preserve and Lions Park in Hailey. And while high flows will keep folks from playing in the river, there will be plenty to do along its banks.
Several of the Land Trust’s non-profit partners, like The Chamber, Trout Unlimited’s Hemingway Chapter, the Hailey Public Library and Spirit n’ Motion, will be pitching in to help make the 3rd Annual RiverFest bigger and better than ever!
In addition to offering great local food and craft vendors, as well as a beer garden, there will be a lot more kids’ activities this year, including a Kid’s Carnival, a Kids’ Casting Clinic, and Rock Painting. The Land Trust will also be offering Guided Nature Walks of the preserve and will again serve free Toni’s Ice Cream (while supplies last). Music for this year’s RiverFest will feature local favorites Up A Creek and will be headlined by the Rebecca Scott Band.
