During the 2012-2013 school year, five elementary classes selected Wood River Land Trust’s Project WOW proposal to plant and dedicate native shrubs along the banks of the Big Wood River as part our Lions Park restoration project. This contribution from the students allowed us to plant over 125 shrubs, helping to beautify the Hailey Greenway and establish healthy riparian vegetation along this stretch of river. The Land Trust provided assistance and ecological and practical education as the students planted the shrubs they had selected. Each student was able to dedicate their plant to someone special.
