Riverside Pond at Heagle Park
The Riverside Wastewater Treatment Facility was once here......
 BEFORE
NOW Riverside Pond at Heagle Park is a fun place to relax! The Wood River Land Trust cleaned up the Riverside Waste Treatment Facility site to create the Riverfront Pond as part of the Big Wood River Greenway Project. This effort protected a corridor of land along the Big Wood River as it flows through the Wood River Valley. The cottonwood forest that lines the riverbanks is a natural magnet for wildlife in the midst of a sagebrush desert. The river is also a primary recreation area for residents and visitors, popular for fishing, observing nature, and other outdoor activities.
